It gets increasingly harder to follow all the news updates of the world, and that is possibly why a site like reddit is getting more and more traffic. If you do not know what reddit is, here is a quick recap:

Reddit is a social news site, where its users can supply links to trending news, funny pictures/videos, obscure hobbies, etc. The reddit-users then down-vote the bad stuff and up-vote the most interesting submissions, which in theory should leave you with only the most interesting news out there. Depending on which topics you subscribe to in reddit, reddit can become your one news tool to rule them all.

New contender for the living room

Google had a mystery session yesterday, officially revealing the new version of Android (4.3), a refurbished version of their Nexus 7, and an interesting addition to their Google Play Books store – Textbooks. But arguably, the most interesting piece of technology that was revealed yesterday, was the Chromecast device. Google’s new attempt to take over your living room.

If Google has their way, set top boxes and media centers will soon be a thing of the past, and instead you will use the devices you already have, but stream your content directly to your tv when you want to.
